While attorneys have rights under the First Amendment to express political, moral, and religious beliefs and to advocate civil disobedience, attorneys must follow their professional responsibility when acting upon their beliefs and when advising clients. (15 minutes)

Stogner v. California
In 1993, California enacted a new criminal statute of limitations permitting prosecution for sex-related child abuse where the prior limitations period has expired if, inter alia, the prosecution is begun within one year of a victim's report to police. (15 minutes)

Computation of Credit Hours: MCLE Rules and Regulations 5.1 provides that "[c]redit hours are computed based on actual time spent in an activity in hours to the nearest one-quarter hour reported in decimals. To receive 15 minutes of credit, you must spend at least 8 minutes of actual time completing the course. To receive 30 minutes of credit, you must spend at least 23 minutes of actual time completing the course.
